Beautiful brew, with an inviting black body, and a strong, 1 3/4 finger head with very nice retention. Fantastic lacing. Very modern hop profile on the aroma, with tons of grapefruit, pepper, oregano, mango, lemon, honey, and some sweet dankness. I don't get much chocolatey roasty malt; on the nose, at least, the hops dominate. Flavor checks all the boxes. There's a very smooth, semi-sweet, strong malt backbone, featuring notes of caramel, chocolate, and toffee. The hops then come layered right over the top, bringing juicy melon, mango, and grapefruit tones, along with lemon and pepper. Smooth herbal dank tones meld with the malt backbone surprisingly well. Crisp, lively, smooth, with a barely dry, effervescent finish.
